Kim Triedman's: THE OTHER ROOM [222]

ABAD artist/poet Kim Triedman will be launching her debut novel, THE OTHER ROOM, at Porter Square Books in Cambridge, MA on Thursday October 10 at 7 pm. 

Publishers Weekly says "Triedman conveys a sense of inexorable emptiness that accompanies great loss," and the the book has been called "a vsiceral sensuous read" and "the true work of a poet enriching every possibility of narrative."

Kim Triedman's Poets For Haiti [119]

Kim Triedman, an artist and writer who contributed to ABAD, edited the volumne "Poets for Haiti: An Anthology of Poetry and Art."

Published by Yileen Press, the book brings together 18 writers who responded to the earthquake in Haiti by coming together to raise relief funds for the people of Port au Prince and other affected areas.

Kim Triedman: Accomodations [77]

Kim Triedman, a novelist, poet and artist in the project, A Book About Death, will read from her new collection Accomodations on May 20 at The Atomic Bean Cafe in Cambridge, Massachusetts.  The reading is part of the well-attended Text-in-Between series. Admission is free.

Triedman's most recent book is bathe in it or sleep, published by Main Street Rag (2009). Kim won the 2008 Main Street Rag Chapbook Contest.

Accomodations is the name of her newest collection which she describes as "a sharp slice at the domestic front."

The author also recently organized and read at Poets For Haiti, a collaborative reading to benefit the Partners in Health organization and the people of Haiti that took place on February 23, 2010 in Boston. (Link to the Forum reading here).
